January 15, 2009 Vsekiden.com The Parliamentary group of the Bulgarian opposition nationalist АТАКА party is boycotting the work of the Parliament and would not return in the plenary hall until after the upcoming elections, the Party's Press Center informed Thursday. АТАКА proposed the Parliamentary boycott to the other opposition parties - Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) and Bulgarian New Democracy (BND) in July of 2008, but all three rejected the idea.
The ATAKA Parliamentary group believes that the current Parliament has been completely depleted as the highest authority in Bulgaria. The statement further says that the ATAKA Members of the Parliament would now begin touring the country to present their election platform to potential voters. ***
